Want to get to know me better? Hey - Laura here! So today I thought I’d drop in and tell you more about myself and why I do what I do. You see, I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. Back in the day it was unheard of for a 25 year old to have their own house being single, but I did and was very proud of myself. I always dreamed of moving to Vegas in 1995, and I did just that and went to work for the casino’s as a black jack and Craps dealer. I started investing my money in a beautiful home for myself, rented out my small townhouse and then gradually bought 3 more rental properties and I rented all of these out. Eventually I sold 2 of my rental properties to buy a larger home in Henderson. As I was going through these transactions, I fell in love with real estate and investing and decided to get my real estate license in 2008. Perfect timing, right? The market was going through some tough times. I adjusted my business to meet the needs of my clients & help them get out of debt with short selling their homes and into something they can afford and they were able to buy again within 2 years or less. From there my husband and I thought it would be nice to move our family to Texas which has a wonderful school system. We moved to McKinney, TX which also allowed us to be less than 45 minutes from my grandmother & sister, and only 4 hours from my husband's family. I was very grateful to be able to spend time with my grandmother in her later years before she passed. She was an incredible person and loved by everyone she met. I started my business all over again and got my license for Texas. After living in the area for 8 years, I love the area we are in and surrounding areas. I love helping people find the right home for their lifestyle. Today, I’m grateful to be helping homeowners in Collin County seamlessly transition from one home to the next.
